Conditions

Compensation: $40/hour (varies depending on additional tasks at the client's site)
Compensation for occasional tasks (3 hours or less/day): 60% of the current bargain
Hours: 1-37.5 hours/week - Full-time, part-time, occasional
Pay: Every 2 weeks
Travel: Travel expenses reimbursed to the client's site
Status: Permanent contract if necessary
Availability: Day, evening, night, weekend – starting January 2026

Registration certificate with the OIIQ (Quebec Order of Nurses)

Responsibilities:
Nursing practice consists of assessing health status, determining and ensuring the implementation of the nursing care and treatment plan, and providing nursing and medical care and treatments with the aim of maintaining and restoring human health in interaction with the environment, preventing illness, and providing appropriate symptom relief.
Within the scope of nursing practice, the following activities are reserved for registered nurses:
Assessing the physical and mental condition of a symptomatic person.
Providing clinical monitoring of the condition of individuals whose health presents risks, including monitoring and adjusting the nursing care plan;
Initiate diagnostic and therapeutic measures, as prescribed;
Initiate diagnostic measures for screening purposes as part of an activity arising from the application of the Public Health Act.
Perform invasive diagnostic examinations and tests, as prescribed;
Administer and adjust medical treatments, as prescribed;
Determine the treatment plan for wounds and skin and integumentary alterations and provide related care and treatment.
Apply invasive techniques. Provide nursing follow-up for individuals with complex health problems.
Administer and adjust medications or other substances, as prescribed.
Mix substances to complete the preparation of a medication, as prescribed;
Decide on the use of restraint measures;
To decide on the use of isolation measures in accordance with the Act respecting the governance of the health and social services system, the Act respecting health and social services for Inuit and Naskapi, or the Act respecting health and social services for Cree Native persons.
To diagnose mental disorders, with the exception of intellectual disability, when the nurse has university-level training and clinical experience in psychiatric nursing.
To assess a child who is not yet eligible for preschool education and who shows signs of developmental delay in order to determine rehabilitation and adaptation services that meet their needs. A nurse practitioner may, when authorized by a regulation made under paragraph (f) of the first paragraph of section 14, perform the following activities, depending on their specialty, under the conditions and terms set out in that regulation:
To diagnose illnesses;
Prescribe diagnostic tests;
Use invasive diagnostic techniques or techniques that pose a risk of harm.
Determine medical treatments.
Prescribe medications and other substances; prescribe medical treatments.
Administer the medication or substance enabling a person to receive medical assistance in dying as part of the application of the law concerning end-of-life care.
